Last summers u16 European Championships roster was full of talented and promising 98 born players, most noticeably at the Center position. This summer they all return, who will show the most improvement and who can carry their team towards gold?
The players in question.
Julia Reisingerová 6’4 from Czech republic Already shown her quality at the u17 World Championships.
Ana Tadic & Alexia Chartereau both with great size Ana has a nice finesse game close to the basket and don’t be surprised to see Alexia power her way to the basket from the perimeter.
Lorela Cubaj of Italy has heaps of potential and watch out if she sets a screen on you, your going to know about it!
Maria Vadeeva from Russia was fantastic last year and is well supported by Raisa Musina & Tatiana Kazakova and new comers Kseniia Nesterova & Kamilla Ogun with 5 players over 1.90…
The tallest player of the tournament returns from last year for Turkey Inci Güclü 2.05cm
And new comer to Division A u16 Basketball but having already impressed last year in Division B and last week in Porto with the U18’s Beatriz Jordao
Whilst not really a BIG you cant say that Digna Strautmane is not a Big time player, listed as Center ( and just under 1.90) but with all the skills to dominate with her mid range game.
I look forward to seeing the progress of all players, not just the ones mentioned in this post. Blue Star Europe is always on the look out for top talent, last September 3 of these BIGs and 3 other big time players, Marie Cole, Lucie Hosková , Michaela Krejzová from Division A teams helped the Blue Star Europe All Star team win the PSI tournament in Denmark, who will be selected to play this year? Its up to you players to show what you can do!
